the present is History

I remember learning about her in school, Rani Lakshmibai was a woman well known during India's freedom struggle against the British. This link provides a one page summary of her life, (the second to last paragraph in particular is what I am relating to in this post) -http://jhansi.nic.in/rani.htm


I didn't think she'd prop up right in front of me,
No one else seemed to really see.
For them it was just another day,
on that rickety-rackety train.
